What Will Happen to The Public Opinion on Donald Trump?
"I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters.", is what Donald Trump said to explain the loyalty of his people. This comment offended many people, and it's pretty clear why. Not only were people offended because of the debate about gun violence which has recently been going on, but also because of the recent mass shootings, and terrorists attacks by ISIS which are huge in the eye of social media. When Ted Cruz, Trump's biggest rival for the GOP nomination was asked about his thoughts on Trump's comment, he made it clear that he has no intention in shooting someone as part of his campaign.
There were definitely many other ways Trump could have compared the loyalty of his voters. His comment will probably change the intensity of the public opinion of many people (in a negative way). Donald Trump has made himself known for speaking what's on his mind, and there is no telling what he's going to say next or who he's going to offend. In the long run do you think this is something that will help him in the election or hurt him? I personally think that if he continues making these comments many people are going to get upset and the results for Trump will probably not be what he hopes. He should find a better way of getting his point across and think about how it will sound once its said.
